The Dream That Never Came By: Andrew Moran The line was horrendous. The tickets were sold out. The people were restless. This what happened during the line up at Woody Allen’s gala presentation of ‘Cassandra’s Dream’. We arrived 2 hours before as we were told that the tickets were sold out and we had to wait in this monstrous line called the ‘rush line’ (dun dun dun).
However, the Toronto International Film Festival’s sponsors did hand out free samples of their food. Pizza Nova handed out slices of their ‘specialty’ pizzas to everyone at least twice. However, I didn’t have any of those samples mainly because you get a sense of guilt when you’re handed free food. Plus free public food is the worst. However, that’s for another story.

If you see below this paragraph Cadillac took free pictures of us, so below you’ll see my ugly face holding a clapboard of Woody Allen’s talking picture ‘Cassandra’s Dream’.
Probably just as worse as not getting any tickets was seeing Woody Allen but NOT a picture. I don’t really care about the cast, but in front of my eyes was Woody Allen. Terrible luck in life. My battery dying. Of course it survived for Brad Pitt but not for Woody Allen! Pictures below are when everyone left when either a) all the celebrities went in and or b) they couldn’t get any more tickets. |
