Miller wins vote 26-19 and gets two new taxes for the City of Toronto which raise $175 million for 2008.
The land transfer tax will rais $175 million and the vehicle tax $20. There is still a projected deficit of $239 which the City must still raise and/or cut waste and services or raise additional funds from other tax sources such as parking lots and realty taxes. |
