Canadian soldier killed by roadside bomb PDF Print E-mail

Gunner Jonathan Dion, 27, was killed yesterday by a roadside bomb as he was returning to Kandahar Airfiled for New Year's celebrations from a forward operating base. Four other Canadian soldiers were injured. Their injuries are not life threatening. One soldier has already been treated and released for duty. IEDs have proven deadly and  have accounted for most of the Canadian cassualties to date. Have a look at the videos on IEDs in Afghanistan on the home page and news sections of The Toronto Times.
