Ancient Olympia host to international community as Olympic flame departs on long Journey to Beijing |

It was a wonderful sunny and mild spring day in ancient Olympia as the international community gathered for the lighting of the Olympic flame. The hot sun was used to light a torch which started its long journey to Beijing, China. The common message from the dignitaries was love and peace in the spirit of Olympic goodwill and the pursuit of athletic excellence.
