Russia defeats Canada 5-4 in overtime to win 2008 World Hockey Championship. Canada took a 4 to 2 lead into the third period but failed to holdback Russia. The Russians scored 2 unanswered goals in the third period to tie the game 4 to 4. In overtime the Russians dominated and scored the winner on a power play.
