Many people are single by choice. Many others are single and alone but wish they had a significant other. Death, illness, divorce and separation create loneliness. How should a person go about meeting a soul mate or platonic friend(s). Laura Tachini introduced us to dating services that are reputable. What other options are there. The oldest and most common is to have a friend or family member introduce you to the "right person". With fear of sexual harrassment the work place is less fertile ground. A place of worship provides opportunities. Service clubs such as the Lions Club or Freemasonry Lodges offer excellent opportunities to meet "brothers" while improving oneself and helping others. Fraternity and brotherhood go hand in hand with social intercourse. The more contacts with people you have the more opportunity to meet or be introduced to the "right person" when platonic friendships are not enough. After all intimacy, companionship and good sex are also necessary for happiness and meeting a soulmate helps. Send us your suggestions on how to meet good people and the next love of your life. The top ten will get free tickets to the theatre and dinner for two. Email us your suggestions. |
