Aghan schools attacked by Afghan thugs PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 05 August 2006

UNICEF reports that Afghan schools have been attacked by insurgents and over 100,000 kids have been forced to drop out. 50 schools have been burned to the ground and several kids have been killed. The Canadian army has been successfully working to open new schools in Kabul and the program has been a great success.

As NATO takes over security in the south the re-opening of the schools in the southern districts should become a priority. Normal life cannot return without security. The thugs who attack schools should be hunted down and arrested or killed.  Any thug who hurts a kid should be tried and hanged like a common criminal.

Aghans should be recruited into local militia to provide extra security for the kids. They should be trained, armed and paid a good salary by the west. These schools and security component should be rolled out over the south. Canadian forces should work with private groups raise additional funds to speed up the establishment of a stable public and private school system.
