The time has come to impose order on the Narco State of Afghanistan . One method to do so is to adopt the positive methods of the Taliban. Afghanistan is exporting 92% of the world's heroin. It is a cancer that will destroy the west from within.
The money generated corrupts police and other institutions. The youth are poisoned. The cost for rehab and lost productivity is in the billions. The west has a history of failure in this area and one only need look at Columbia, Mexico and the United States. The Soviet Union lost its empire as its troops became addicted in Afghanistan. The Soviets retreated in defeat. Shortly thereafter the Soviet Empire crumbled from within. In Vietnam the same fate for the United States. The British oppose these methods as they fear it will strengthen the insurgency. A compromise proposal put forward by Canadian academics advocates legalized heroine production to be used for medicine. This proposal has merit and should be studied more carefully. At the same time, the American proposal for tough enforcement should be applied to the illegal trade and drug dealers. The United States favours tough measures and in this regard America is correct.The time has come to hang the drug dealers in Afghanistan from trees with a bullet between the eyes. We cannot win this war without law and order. The drug trade will defeat us within 10 years. It is time to start hanging drug dealers and corrupt cops and state officials from public squares just as the Taliban did (we will offer them a fair trial first and rights of appeal so that such hangings are just and to avoid any mistakes). |
