U.S. Senate approves revised bailout plan The United States Senate voted this evening, in a 74 to 25 vote,  to approve a revised bailout plan that will cost $700 billion.  The amended legislation includes over $100 billion of tax credits for small business and individuals. The House of Representatives will now vote on the revised bill on Friday . Details...

Sex and the Law

Immigration and Refugee Board Member Ellis, who is a popular former City of Toronto Councillor was suspended after he was caught on tape asking an attractive Korean female refugee claimant for sex in return for a favourable ruling. Ellis makes over 100,000 dollars per year and is also a lawyer.

NDP member Olivia Chow stated in the House of Commons:

This is not just about a personal scandal, but a national disgrace, ...This will not be solved by replacing a Liberal crony with a Conservative crony. "
