However, we should avoid foods high in sugar. They hurt us more than most foods. They have very little nutrients and only add unnecessary weight. If you must have sweet treet go  for dark chocolate which is good for you.

Christmas and the Holidays are a particularly difficult time to avoid rich foods. We gain the weight in a few days and will spend months attempting to get rid of it. They provide brief moments of pleasure and comfort but long term pain. They also screw up our hearts, blood and metabolism. Avoid them. 

January is a time to think of healthy changes to our diet and life style in order to enjoy and long and healthy life. Time to start!
