The Way of God

Young people in North America represent the most affluent generation in history. They have material wealth yet many are stressed out and unhappy. Narcotics, sex and hedonistic pleasures are pursued to find happiness which eludes them as they are living an absurd, nihilistic existence without meaning.

Sex with multiple partners, blowjobs, ponography, drugs and alcohol and other pleasures of the flesh are mistaken for Love, happiness and meaningful ends, and though temporarily satisfying, do not provide Happiness and/or meaning.

Luzzato teaches us another path to Happiness: The Way of God. In this journey he provides us with an excellent road map.

The Existence of God

Every person must believe and know that there exists a first Being, without beginning or end, who brought all things into existence and continues to sustain them. This Being is God.

These concepts and truths can also be logically verified by demonstrable proofs. Their veracity can be demonstrated from what we observe in nature and its phenomena.

It is also necessary to know that God's existence is imperative. It is absolutely impossible that He should cease to exist.

It is furthermore necessary to know that God's existence does not depend on anything else at all. His existence is intrinsically imperative.

We know about God through acquired teachings and inference from Nature

Tradition and acquired teachings over the past thousand years confirm His existence. It can also be verified from the laws and priniciples of nature that it is impossible that some Being not exist, unbound by the laws and limitations of nature. It must be impossible that this Being cease to exist or have any deficiency. Among the things that it is also necessary to know is that God must be absolutely one.

i. The fact of His existence;

ii. His perfection;

iii. The necessity of His existence;

iv. His absolute independence;

v. His simplicity; and

vi. His unity.
